The hotel address is 24 Sir Thomas Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, L1 6JB.

Please note that all payments made to us are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Secure car parking is unavailable at the hotel. However, Car parking is available at a discounted rate of £9 per 24hrs. This car park is located at NCP Moorfields and it’s on Vernon Street, L2 2AY.

All guests may be required to provide a valid, government issued photo ID on check in.  Please ensure your entire party have appropriate ID available. We have a strict over 21 policy in order for guests to check in.

You may check in on your day of arrival from 15:00 and then Check out is 11:00.

Upon check in, we will require a security deposit in the amount of £50.00 per person, to be applied against a credit or debit card.

Please note that all rooms are strictly non-smoking. Violation of this regulation will result in an additional cleaning charge being applied to your guest account.

Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions shall apply to the booking of accommodation, use of facilities and services at The Sir Thomas (“Hotel”) by any customer, whether private or as an authorised representative of a business. These Terms & conditions shall supersede and take precedence over any other terms and conditions which may or may not have applied to your booking.  No alternative terms or conditions will be deemed to be valid unless prior written consent has been provided by the Hotel.

  1. General

1.1 Booking accommodation or the use of any service at the Hotel indicates full acceptance, without reservation, of these Terms & Conditions, which are applicable to any agreement you have with us when we accept your booking.

1.2 By accepting these Terms & Conditions you agree that you are at least 18 years of age and have sufficient legal capacity to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Reservation Services

2.1. The use of any means to make a reservation at the Hotel for the use of any accommodation or service, including via our website, any partner booking website, via telephone or in person, indicates full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2.2. When any reservation is made with the Hotel, the customer will receive a confirmation of the reservation by email. It is the responsibility of the customer to review the details contained within the confirmation email and advise the Hotel of any inaccuracies or errors.

2.3. Your reservation will only be considered as guaranteed upon receipt of valid credit or debit card details which we will use as a guarantee, or the receipt by the Hotel of any deposit payment or pre-payment as dictated by the specific rate rules applied to your booking.

  1. Length of Stay Restrictions

3.1. During major sporting events, cultural events or other periods of high demand in Liverpool, certain rates and packages may be subject to restricted availability.  On such occasions, available rates and packages may be subject to minimum length of stay restrictions. 

  1. Events at the Hotel

4.1. Events take place at the Hotel on a regular basis. If there are events taking place at the Hotel and as a result you wish to cancel or amend your stay, you should contact the Hotel directly via telephone or email via reservations@thesirthomas.co.uk and discuss your request with our reservations team.  Any cancellation or amendment to your booking will be at the discretion of the Hotel and subject to the provisions contained within these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Deposits/ Pre-payments

5.1. The Hotel may request a deposit or full pre-payment of your booking, dependent on the specific rate applicable to your booking. All deposits and pre-payments are non-refundable and in the event of a cancellation, the Hotel will be entitled to use any deposit or prepayment received to cover its reasonable costs associated with facilitating your booking, including loss of revenue should the accommodation or service you booked remaining unsold.  The Hotel will make all reasonable endeavours to re-sell any cancelled accommodation or service booked, but this is not always possible.

5.2. Nothing contained in these Terms & Conditions shall affect your statutory rights, including those contained in the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, or any similar or amended regulations.

  1. Use of Accommodation and Services

6.1. You must not use any part of the Hotel or book any accommodation or service with the intention of using such for any purpose which is unlawful, immoral, offensive, injurious to the rights of any third parties, or which may, in anyway, damage any part of the Hotel or the reputation of the Hotel.

  1. Accuracy of Information

7.1. Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information set out on our website, in any promotional materials, in any advertising or on any social media platforms associated with the Hotel, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions and we reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any offer, promotion or available product featured at any time.  We further reserve the right to modify services provided by the Hotel at any time.

7.2. We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

  1. Room Types

8.1. Whilst we will make every effort to ensure that the specific room type reserved as part of any booking at the Hotel is provided, we reserve the right to substitute any room type for any other room type, based on operational considerations and requirements.  Where a booking at the Hotel is for a specific room, we may from time to time, for operational reasons, need to amend your booking and provide an alternative room.

  1. Reservations of 10 or More People

9.1. Any party containing 10 or more people will be considered as a Group Reservation.  Group Reservations can only be made directly with the hotel and not via our website or any partner booking site.  Group Reservations may be subject to additional Terms & Conditions, which will be advised at the time of making any such booking.  

  1. Check In / Check Out Times

10.1. Check in time is 3 pm on the day of arrival.  

10.2. Checkout time is 11 am on the day of departure.

10.3. Early check in or late check out may be available during your stay at an additional charge.  You should contact the Hotel directly to enquire about the availability of any early check in or late check out.

10.4. The Hotel reserves the right to make an additional charge for any accommodation which is not vacated by 11 am on your scheduled day of departure.   Such charge will be £15 for every hour or part of an hour past the mandated check out time of 11 am.

10.5. There may be occasions where check in is delayed due to reasons beyond the reasonable control of the Hotel.  In such circumstances, the Hotel will not be held liable for any delay in checking in.

  1. Payments

11.1. If a deposit or pre-payment is required to secure your booking, the Hotel reserves the right to cancel any booking where such payment has not been received.  All deposits and prepayments are deemed to be non-refundable and non-transferable, unless otherwise advised in writing by an authorised representative of the Hotel.

  1. Security Deposits

12.1. A security deposit or pre-authorisation of a valid credit / debit card may be required when you check in to the Hotel.  The value of any such security deposit or pre-authorisation will be £50.00 per room. Only one credit or debit card per room can be used for the security deposit or pre-authorisation is required at check in, and a suitable form of government issued ID will be required for the cardholder.

12.2. Any unused balance of any security deposit taken will be refunded to the card via which the deposit was made.

12.3. In the event of any damage to the Hotel, it’s facilities or any accommodation by a member of your party, the cost of putting right such damage, including an accounting for loss of revenue associated with an inability to sell any accommodation or service as a result of such damage, will be deducted from any security deposit held.  In the event that the value of any damage incurred surpasses the value of the security deposit held, you agree to provide any additional payment required within a period of 7 days of being notified of such by the Hotel.

12.4. Any unused balance of any pre-authorisation taken will be refunded to the card via which the pre-authorisation was made.

12.5. In the event of any damage to the Hotel, it’s facilities or any accommodation by a member of your party, the cost of putting right such damage, including an accounting for loss of revenue associated with an inability to sell any accommodation or service as a result of such damage, will be deducted from any pre-authorisation held.  In the event that the value of any damage incurred surpasses the value of the pre-authorisation held, you agree to provide any additional payment required within a period of 7 days of being notified of such by the Hotel.

12.6. When a pre-authorisation is cancelled and returned to the card via which it was made, or a refund is processed for any security deposit taken, the time for these funds to be returned to the card holder can extend up to 14 days.  In many cases the time taken to return the funds is much less, but this process is dependent on the type of card used, the issuing bank and in which country the card was issued.

  1. Pricing and Packages

13.1. Our pricing is done in real time and therefore may fluctuate according to market conditions.  The Hotel does not accept liability for any change in price or package availability from one time to another.  At the point a booking is confirmed, in line with the provisions of these Terms & Conditions, any such price or package can be considered to be guaranteed.

  1. Cancellations

14.1. Should you wish to cancel any booking made at the Hotel, you should contact the hotel directly on 0151 2361366 or via reservations@thesirthomas.co.uk.  Any cancellation is not deemed to be accepted until you have received a confirmation of cancellation in writing from the Hotel.  In the event of cancellation, any deposit or pre-payment made for your booking is deemed to be non-refundable and non-transferable.

  1. Child Stays

15.1. If a booking is sought for any lone traveller who is under 21 years of age, we reserve the right to refuse any such requests. In any event, the prior approval of the Hotel is required for any booking for any person aged 21 years or less, who is travelling alone.  If the Hotel is not informed In advance about any individual who is less than 21 years of age travelling alone, we will be titled to deny accommodation or any other service to such individuals who arrive without an accompanying adult.

  1. Accommodation Booked being Unavailable

16.1. In the rare event that the Hotel is unable to provide you with the accommodation or service booked, when you arrive at the Hotel, you confirm that the liability of the Hotel shall be limited to providing alternative accommodation of a similar level, and where such accommodation is located in a different hotel, transport to such alternative venue.

16.2. If a customer is dissatisfied with the quality or provision of any such alternative accommodation provided at a different hotel, any issues should be made known to the management of the alternative venue in the first instance, allowing them sufficient time to rectify any issues.

  1. Special Requirements

17.1. If you have any special requirements, please inform the Hotel at the time of making your booking.

  1. Protection of Personal Data

18.1. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously.  Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we manage your personal data.

  1. Liability and Indemnity

19.1. Our liability for any loss or damage suffered by any customer shall be limited to that which arises out of the negligence of our employees, subcontractors or agents and in any event shall be limited to the value of any payment received by the Hotel in relation to your booking.

19.2. These Terms &Conditions do not affect any rights which the customer may have under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, where this Act applies.

19.3. Notwithstanding clause 19.1 above, the Hotel will not be liable for any indirect loss or damage which may by suffered by a customer including, but not limited to, loss of income, loss of business, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data or loss of enjoyment.

19.4. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions purports to limit or exclude the Hotel’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the Hotel, its employees, subcontractors or agents nor caused by fraudulent misrepresentation or any other matter for which it would be unlawful for such liability to be limited or excluded.

  1. Force Majeure

20.1. The Hotel will not be in breach of these Terms & Conditions it any accommodation or service cannot be provided due to: industrial action by employees of the Hotel, industrial action by the staff of one of the Hotel’s suppliers or contractors, fire, lightning, explosion, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, any national or international epidemic or pandemic, government imposed restrictions on the business of the Hotel, extreme weather conditions, storm, flood, burst pipes, earthquake, terrorism or the Hotel being damaged or destroyed, breakdown of machinery, a failure to supply the Hotel with gas, electricity or water, or any other event outside of the Hotel’s reasonable control.  In the event of a Force Majeure event as defined in these Terms & Conditions, the Hotel will do its best to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience to our customers, guests, employees, agents and contractors.

  1. No Waiver

21.1. No failure or delay in exercising any right reserved to the Hotel under these Terms & Conditions shall be deemed to be a waiver of such right or remedy and no waiver by the Hotel of a breach of any provision of these Terms & Conditions shall be deemed to be a waiver of any other or subsequent breach of the same or any other provision.

  1. Set-Off

22.1. No right of set-off shall exist in respect of any payment due or sums received against any claim under the booking or any other agreement at any time.

  1. Third Party Rights

23.1. None of the provisions contained within these Terms & Conditions are intended to be enforceable by any third party nor is it intended that these Terms & Conditions will confer any rights on any person pursuant to the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

  1. Entirety of Agreement

24.1. The booking confirmation you receive, and these Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and the Hotel.

24.2. You accept that in agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you have not relied on any representation, warranty, or other provision except as expressly stated in these Terms & Conditions.

  1. Severance

25.1. If one or more of the provisions contained within these Terms & Conditions is deemed subsequently to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, such provision(s) shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms & Conditions and the remainder of the Terms & Conditions will remain in force and valid.

  1. Jurisdiction

26.1. These Terms & Conditions and any agreement between you and the Hotel shall be governed by the laws of England and the Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim which arises out of or in connection with such agreement and these Terms & Conditions
